Why do I have sweaty hands?
Sweating is a normal function the body uses to cool itself down during
periods of exercise or other stimulation.
Hyperhidrosis can reveal itself in the form of hand sweating (sweaty hands),
facial sweating, armpit sweating or facial blushing. All of these conditions
are the result of an overactive sympathetic nervous system and can now be
treated with a simple surgical procedure performed by The American
Institute for Hyperhidrosis.
Our Sophisticated Technique
The American Institute for Hyperhidrosis is one of the most advanced
organizations in the country providing this sophisticated Endoscopic
Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS-C) operative technique to treat excessive
sweating and blushing. This procedure involves a reversible clamping
technique (known as ETS-C) with better than a 95% rate of success. During
surgery, our surgeons apply clamps to the overactive nerves in the chest
cavity which are responsible for the excessive hand sweating (sweaty
hands), facial sweating, armpit sweating and/or facial blushing. Generally,
patients are released from the hospital just a few hours after the procedure.
