I have suffered from sweaty hands and feet since I was little. For my entire life, I have been embarrassed to shake hands with anybody because my hands were always wet. Ever since I was six-years-old I had suffered from Hyperhidrosis. I found this surgery on the Internet when I was in seventh grade in 1997. My parents' weren't exactly happy at the fact that I thought SURGERY was my only resort. But, after Going to every doctor imaginable and being HYPNOTIZED, getting PAINFUL BOTOX TREATMENTS In my hands and armpits, using HOMEOPATHIC DOCTORS, MEDICATIONS; ALL TO NO AVAIL.

I finally made my parents realize that ETS SURGICAL PROCEDURE was in fact the last and only resort. But, as from November 26, 2003 I am now SWEAT-FREE in my Hands and Armpits, and in my feet also the sweat is reduced. It has been some weeks since my surgery, and I just wanted to write and say "THANK YOU" for all you have done. I am sure you have heard this gratitude so often from other patients, but I cannot let you deed go unrecognized and unappreciated. I am thoroughly please with the results, and I have had no HAND or ARMPIT sweating since the procedure. Although the stoppage of foot sweating was not guaranteed with this procedure, I am please to say that it is almost nonexistent as well. So far, I have had no compensatory sweating.

When I first began researching hyperhidrosis years ago, I was amazed that so many people were affected by the same condition that I was. For years I had thought that I was the only one who suffered from this condition, and it was comforting to know that I wasn't. it was also exciting to learn that there was a cure. I had ruled out the possibility of surgery years ago because at the time the clamping technique was not offered and I was concerned about the side effects that would be permanent due to the nerve cutting. Instead of proceeding with the surgery then, I opted to try and control the sweating with various other methods (Drysol, Drionic, etc.). But, as others will testify those methods are time-consuming, cumbersome, and often irritate the skin which made them undesirable for life-long use. Then, I became aware of your clinic while surfing the internet one day. Your nerve-clamping technique was very attractive and an incentive to proceed with the procedure. The testimonial packet and service that your office sent me was very encouraging, and I am glad to say that you add me to the success rate.

I could bore you with what I suffered with in the past ¨ the constant washing of my hands, ¨ the fear of touching things that others would touch later, ¨ the fear of having to shake someone's hand, ¨ the constant drying of my computer keyboard, etc. but you have heard it all in the past. Needless to say, I don't suffer from those things anymore. Sometimes I do feel the sensation that I used to feel when my hands or armpits would sweat, but then I check and am please to find that my hands and/or armpits are still dry. There may be a minimal amount of moisture of my feet, but it is nothing compared to what it used to be when I had to wear two pairs of socks.

The procedure itself was relatively painless. Although I wasn't expecting the chest pain immediately following the procedure, it became tolerable and was mostly gone by the 2nd day. I did not fill the pain reliever prescription you wrote; I was only experiencing minor discomfort when discharged from the hospital and was able to control the discomfort with Advil as you recommended.

Based on my experience, I highly recommend this procedure to anyone who is considering it. My only regret about the procedure is that I didn't get to meet you until right before the procedure; however, I understand the geographical difference did prohibit that. Please feel free to release my contact information to others considering ETS surgical procedure done. I'm 23 years old and I was born with hyperhidrosis. Initially I it of the hands and feet and as I got older it spread to my face and underarms as well. I researched about the available options for a cure for about 3 years before I decided to go with The American Institute for Hyperhidrosis. They made me feel really comfortable during the few months before my surgery, while I was communicating with them from Colorado.

I would definitely have considered my condition as severe. Before my surgery I talked to Dr. Meyer and per his suggestion I decided to have them only treat my hands and underarms (to lessen the chances of severe compensatory sweating.) I woke up from the surgery with dry hands, dry underarms and as it turns out, the facial sweating and blushing disappeared too, as well as the foot sweating. I just got my operation done by Dr. Leon Egozi. I used to sweat on my hands and feet really bad! The Hyperhidrosis condition effected my teenage & college years dramatically. Only those that have this condition can relate to what I am trying to say.

My condition was severe Underarms Sweating, prior to the Hyperhidrosis surgery my under arms will soak wet I could not were any color shirts, only black or white to avoid the stains. Since the surgery I did not have even one DROP of SWEAT, what a release!

I have minimum compensatory sweating and this is in my lower back and particularly during workout. For 45 years I have suffered with the embarrassing problem of palmer hyperhidrosis with little hope of a cure. The older I got the worse my hands would be cold and sweaty. This condition took control of my life completely. It would dictate how I would greet people or should I say how I would try to avoid greeting people. I could not enjoy going to church, my job, friendships, and even being as close to family members, (except my wife and children) for fear I would have to shake their hand or my hands would touch them. Hyperhidrosis robbed me of a normal childhood, made my teen and young adult years very difficult. Dating was almost impossible for fear of the reaction I would get if a date wanted to hold hands. I can't tell you how many jobs that I feel I have lost during that first impressionable handshake during an interview. Before the surgery, my hands and feet would be sweaty about 40-50% of the day. They would always get very wet if I ever became even slightly nervous or stressed. Before this surgery, my hands, feet and armpits would sweat excessively for no reason at all. If I was hot, my face and lower back would get damp. After the surgery, I am a whole new person! I would like to thank Dr. Egozi and his team for an amazing procedure. Prior to the surgery, I had constant hand and foot sweating. I absolutely hated socializing with people because it required hand contact. My job, as well as my hobbies, requires me to be in contact with people. After the surgery, I have no hand sweating at all, and my foot sweating has diminished so significantly that I don't even notice it. I have noticed some compensatory sweating on my back and stomach. I am so happy that I had this surgery done. My hands don't sweat at all now. It's the best thing that happened to me. Everybody was so helpful and courteous. I had suffered from hyperhidrosis for almost all of my life (16 years). I hated shaking people's hands because it was embarrassing to watch them wipe their hands off afterwards. Schoolwork was difficult because when I wrote, the paper would become soaked. The surgery was an answer to a prayer. I remember coming back to school after surgery and practically crying for joy when the paper stayed dry. My sweaty hands used to interfere with my piano playing as well. I am delighted with the results of my ETS surgery! I am 44 years old and have suffered with hyperhidrosis of the hands and feet for my entire life. I'm a businesswoman who shakes hands all day long. It was horrifying for me! Not anymore! I am so thrilled I decided to go ahead with the surgery. My only regret is that I waited so long. During my lifetime I tried many medications and treatments, but nothing worked.

This surgery was the greatest thing I've ever done and it was well worth the cost. I would've paid a million dollars! My hands, feet and back of my legs used to pour sweat. I had to wrap five napkins around my wedding bouquet and it still dripped with sweat.

I have suffered from facial blushing all of my life. Being called upon in class when in grade school and high school was humiliating. As I got older, my professional and personal life was almost nonexistent. I would be having a blushing episode, socially or professionally, and people would notice and say something. This would make the situation worse. The sweating for me came later, and I never really linked up that the same nerve was causing both problems. I would wake up in a pool of sweat. The last time I woke up that way was in my hotel room on the day of surgery. The next morning I woke up with no sweat. I couldn't believe it. Overall, I just feel less hot from the chest up. As far as the facial blushing is concerned, I have been in situations where I know absolutely that I would have blushed. But, guess what? Nothing happened!

This surgery has drastically changed my life. Before the surgery, I could not carry on a conversation with someone without blushing. But since I've had the procedure, I can confidently carry on a conversation. First of all, let me say "Thank you very much." The staff, nurses, doctors and, especially, Carmen was terrific. I could not believe that Carmen even came by before my surgery, in the early morning, to say "Hi and good luck." Kudos to all of you!

I am 43 years old and have had a sweating and blushing problem since I was a toddler. I just thought I was different from everyone else. As I grew older and went to school, I was constantly blushing and sweating and could not concentrate on my schoolwork. I was constantly paranoid about others looking at me and wondering why I was different. Classmates would point and make rude comments like: "What's wrong?" or "Why are you sweating?" or "Why are you so red?" or "Did you get a sunburn?" Somehow I made it through high school and graduated. I tried to go to college, but I dropped out because my condition got worse shortly after I started. I got a job working outside with a construction company where I could fit in with other workers who were in the sun and had an excuse for sweating. Basically, all I could do was sit at home and wonder what was wrong with me and why I was not normal, which made me very depressed. Before this surgery, I had excessive sweating from the face, even when it was extremely cold outside. I completed nine years in the active Army and four years of college. It was very hard for me. When I had to go before my peers for an oral presentation, the sweat would start pouring off of me. It was not because I was incompetent. It was because I had no control over the sweating. I would get so frustrated and embarrassed when people asked me why I was sweating so much. I had no explanation to give them.

At age 34, I found a job as a probation officer. The first day in court when I had to speak in front of the judge, lawyers and the general public, the sweat just poured out. I thank God for this ETS procedure. I believe my first sweating incident was when I was in the 5th grade. From then on I would sweat profusely from my armpits and it got worse as I got older. After the surgery, I sweat more in my trunk area (under my breast, stomach and back), but I would rather sweat there than under my arms. It was very difficult to hide the sweat stains and odor.

I found out about the procedure on the internet. One day I was sitting at my desk at work. I was sweating, frustrated and desperate. Before I had my surgery done, I was not able to wear light-colored shirts because of the oversize sweat marks under my arms. Having the surgery changed my life. It worked right away. Hi, my name is Evelyn and I just had the ETS surgery done.

I was always wondering what is wrong with me because I have been sweating excessively ever since I was a little girl. It's very embarrassing being a woman and having giant sweat stains under my arms when no one else did. I'd have to wear black shirts to try to hide my sweat marks and no antiperspirant in the world could help me.

I'm in the military and we go to a lot of different places. Going to Germany didn't make the situation any better. Even though I was freezing cold there, I'd still be sweating profusely. When my unit had deployed to Iraq, things only got worse. I'm the only female in my platoon and at the end of hard labor, I'd be the only sweating none of the guys would ever break a sweat under their arms, so they always made fun of me.

I was so uncomfortable and frustrated about my condition. I kept researching and found the American Institute for Hyperhidrosis, and I decided that I would try to get the surgery done when I got back home.
