Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosisis a condition of Extreme sweating. Extreme sweating can manifest itself in any one part of the body—palms, underarms, or face—or all of the above at once. People suffering from hyperhidrosis, excessive or extreme sweating will find most Anti-perspirants ineffective. The most frustrating aspect of hyperhidrosis is that it can manifest itself any time. hyperhidrosis can make playing socializing or sports impossible. Extreme sweating can have a profound effect socially and economically.

All that said, there are effective hyperhidrosis treatments available including anti-perspirants. A number of alternative therapies, Herbal Remedies, for hyperhidrosis have sprung up in recent years. As herbal remedies have gotten more popular for all types of ailments, people have been putting these practices towards hyperhidrosis as well. Herbal Remedies such as valerian, St. John’s Wort, chamomile, or sage are all used with differing results. It can be difficult to determine the amount of herbal remedies needed, or which combination will be most effective.

Everybody will react to herbs differently so there is no way to determine the correct dose for each herbal remedies. Usually, Herbal Remedies are effective for light sweating, but not the extreme sweating associated with hyperhidrosis. Herbal remedies are recommended in conjunction with more standard hyperhidrosis therapies such as Anti-perspirants, oral medication, or even surgery. On their own, herbal remedies likely won’t be completely effective to control a severe case of hyperhidrosis.

People also go into therapy to control their hyperhidrosis—especially, forms of hyperhidrosis that are exacerbated by social situations. In some people the Extreme sweating will only manifest itself when a person is nervous or agitated. In other people, the problem will persist regardless of the situation. For this reason, herbal therapies will not always be effective for every person who suffers from the condition. Again, it can be helpful if used in conjunction with other types of hyperhidrosis therapies.

It is important to tell your doctor about all of the methods you are using. Often people will take alternative Herbal Remedies without telling their doctor. Little is known about the contraindication of herbal remedies with prescription medication or anti-perspirants. It is important for you to alert your doctor about everything you have done to control the problem so he or she can choose the best course of action. If all else fails, or if the condition is obviously very severe, surgery might be necessary. After surgery, Herbal Remedies and prescription medication or antiperspirants will be unnecessary as surgery is a permanent solution.
